The Senior High School
St. Peter’s Senior High School was established in 2003 with a modest student enrolment of 42. This batch sat for the newly-established West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in May/June 2006. The duration of the course was then 3 years. This batch, comprising 14 females and 24 males obtained excellent results thereby establishing the tradition of high academic achievement that is characteristic of the school.
The school is duly registered with the Ghana Educational Service (GES) and approved by the West African Exams Council to register candidates for exams conducted by the Council. The school Centre Number is 0010510.
The duration of the Senior High School programme was extended from 3 to 4 years with effect from the beginning of the 2007/08 academic year. There are indications however, that government will revert to the 3-year programme in 2010/11.
The SHS offer programmes in General Arts, General Science, Business (Accounting option), Home Economics and Visual Arts. The school also offers the Cambridge O’Level in the Arts and Sciences.
St. Peter’s Mission Senior High School is a coeducational institution with attractive day and boarding facilities for both boys and girls.
